At Bright Futures Psychology, we aim to provide high-quality, individualised support in a way that’s transparent and accessible. Below is a guide to our current fees and available funding options.

Standard Session Fees

Initial Consultation (50 minutes): $215

Ongoing Therapy Sessions (50 minutes): $215 (includes parent support sessions)

Report Writing / Letters (if requested): Priced based on time involved — please get in touch for a quote.

Assessments

We offer a range of psychological assessments for children and young people, including ADHD and Autism assessments.

Assessment fees vary depending on the type and complexity of the assessment. Please contact us for a tailored quote based on your individual needs.

Funding Options

We accept a variety of funding pathways, including:

Medicare – Clients with a Mental Health Care Plan from their GP may be eligible for a rebate of $98.97 per session for up to 10 sessions per calendar year.

Private Health Insurance – Rebates may be available depending on your provider and level of cover. Please check with your insurer.

NDIS – We work with self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants. Sessions are charged in line with the current NDIS pricing arrangements for psychology services.

Fee-for-service (Private Pay) – No referral is needed to book an appointment privately.

Bright Futures Psychology sets fees with consideration for the APS (Australian Psychological Society) National Schedule of Recommended Fees, which for 2024–2025 suggests a rate of $311 per 50-minute session.

Our current standard session fee is $215, reflecting our commitment to accessible, high-quality care.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that life happens — if you need to reschedule, please provide at least 24 business hours notice. This helps us offer appointments to families on our waitlist. If your appointment is on Monday, this means letting admin know on the Friday before.

Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed appointments, will incur the full session fee. Medicare rebates cannot be applied to missed or cancelled sessions.
