Welcome to Bright Futures Psychology
We offer assessment and intervention for children, adolescents, and young adults experiencing a range of emotional, developmental, and behavioural challenges — including anxiety, low mood, trauma, learning differences, ADHD, and autism.
We tailor support to each individual and their family, drawing on evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), creative and play-based interventions, and provide parent support where helpful.
We work from a neuroaffirming, strengths-based framework, supporting young people to better understand themselves, build on their strengths, and develop the skills they need for long-term wellbeing.
Bright Futures Psychology is currently accepting new telehealth referrals. Rebates may be available through the Medicare Better Access to Mental Health Care Scheme, Private Health Insurance, and NDIS (self- or plan-managed). See more about our fees and funding options here.

-
We work with children, adolescents, and young adults, typically ranging from 4 to 25 years old. We also offer support and guidance to parents and caregivers to assist them in supporting their young people.
Please note, Bright Futures Psychology is currently only accepting telehealth referrals. Telehealth may not be suitable for younger children.

We support clients experiencing challenges such as anxiety, behavioural concerns, school issues, family stress, and emotion regulation difficulties.
We also offer neuroaffirming assessment and intervention for ADHD and Autism. Every young person is unique, so therapy at Bright Futures Psychology is tailored to suit their individual needs and strengths.

Sessions are typically 50 minutes.
-
Yes, we are currently only accepting telehealth referrals.
-
The first session focuses on getting to know you (or your child) and understanding what prompted your visit. We’ll talk about goals and begin planning how to work together.
-
Yes — parent input is essential in supporting young people. We include parents in the process where appropriate and offer parent-only sessions when needed.
-
It is valuable to explore challenges with parents and young people. However, we acknowledge that it can be difficult to discuss a young persons challenges with them present and for some young people it can be distressing. If you think it would be better to provide the initial history taking information without your child present you can request that your first session be parent only.
-
We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we kindly request that you provide us with at least 24 hours' notice. This allows us to offer your appointment time to another client in need of care. A cancellation fee of the full amount will apply to all cancellations with less than 24 hours notice.
-
We can provide reports or letters as required. Please note these are billed separately, based on time spent writing and liaising with other services.
